In this course you will learn what hypopressives are, why you should perform them, how they help with prolapse recovery, and how to do them. We spend time breaking down the component parts before throwing it all together. Each of the 8 movements have a dedicated video followed by a 15 minute beginners practice session. This is an introductory course. The poses are based off the foundational poses from Low Pressure Fitness. Hypopressives (abdominal vacuum) are a perfect form of exercise for people with prolapse. The technique allows for strengthening of the transverse abdominis and pelvic floor muscles without increased intra-abdominal pressure. There is also the added benefit of the “suction effect” which literally pulls the pelvic organs up into the body.
